Many girls, my daughter included, love Disney and all of the Disney Princess merchandise. I can relate to that love, as I grew up in the 80s and 90s with Jasmine, Belle, and Ariel. However, unlike that era, young girls today can find costumes featuring their favorite princess online that they can enjoy for Halloween, birthdays, or playing pretend.

When I was young, my grandma made me a Little Mermaid costume out of a worn out party dress, a little lace, and a sheet. I’ll quite relieved that I can simply go pick up a toddler Ariel costume for my little girl rather than spending a lot of time at a sewing machine. I also got a kick out of the fact that there are now Ariel costumes for moms as well – my daughter and I could be twins for Halloween. What will they think of next?!
